Collaboration Grants – Use of Research Results

The list of granted applications for collaborative projects related to the use of research for 2012 – 2013 is now available online. This call was announced by Sida’s Selective Cooperation Unit (Partner Driven Cooperation) in 2012.

Who can apply?

• Researchers and engineers working at universities, research institutes and non-profit organisations

• Government agencies

• Non-governmental organisations involved in advocacy and promotion of environmentally sustainable solutions and environmentally health related issues

Research and use of research results is fundamental for economic development and the successful application of research often results when several actors are involved. Sida's initiative for Partner Driven Cooperation aims to support sustainable cooperation relationships.

Grants are for maximum two years (2012-2013) and for a maximum of 1.5 MSEK per year. Sida is reserving 20 million Swedish crowns (SEK) per year 2012-2013 for this call.

Applications are to be sent in electronically by latest 16.30 CET, April 4th 2012 though Sida's application system. Please choose AKT2012 in the application system when you create a new application for these collaboration grants.

This program does NOT give support for research projects, but rather for assisting partners to cooperate in USING research for policy formulation and in innovation. This initiative is open only for co-operations in India and Indonesia.

Research Training Partnership Programme - complementary call Bolivia
Those invited to submit a full proposal for Sida's “Research Training Partnership Programme as an integral part of Institutional Research Capacity Strengthening” have now been contacted. The program as a whole focuses on collaboration between Sida target country universities in Bolivia and Swedish universities.

First TASENE awardees announced
The unique collaborative research programme TASENE has awarded four projects for Tanzanian, Dutch and Swedish post docs with the goal to learn from each other’s approaches to research management and funding.
Think Tank Rankings 2011
The annual “Think Tank Index” from the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at University of Pennsylvania, has recently been published. Four organisations supported by Sida’s research cooperation are included in the top think tank rankings.
The Unit for Research Cooperation
has a wide mandate in research support, encompassing bilateral research, regional cooperation, global programmes and higher education in Sweden. The aim is to create new knowledge and strengthen research capacity through the various programmes and projects.
